1. Energized Family Fun
Sumner County has great family-friendly attractions that the entire group can enjoy!
Exit Tactics in Hendersonville offers a variety of games to challenge both the mind and body! The popular escape games push players to solve clues as they race against the clock; physical challenges like archery tag (think dodgeball with bows and arrows), human bubble games, and axe throwing require physical skills. The atmosphere promotes friendly competition full of fun! Prices vary and some games may have age/weight restrictions.

Hoppity Hop Inflatables has Open Play Times where your family can jump out all their energy on inflatables in Hendersonville! An awesome perk to jumping at Hoppity Hop Infatables is that your admission is good for ALL DAY play! Leave and come back within the SAME day – they give out a jump pass that can be used throughout the whole day to come and go during business hours. Hours of Open Play Times may vary and are subject to change. Jumpers may be subject to age/weight restrictions.

Holder Family Fun Centers in both Hendersonville (where the header photo for this blog was taken!) and Gallatin create a space with lots of options to pass the time (activities vary at the separate locations). Each location has bowling lanes, an arcade, and laser tag. You can even zip around the Hendersonville location in go-karts! Prices will vary based on ages and activities.

Hendersonville Strike & Spare Family Fun Center has bowling along with Circus World, which encompasses a bungee trampoline, Gyro Xtreme, lazer tag, bumper cars, roller skating, and more! When everyone gets hungry you can just move over to Conways Bar & Grill (named for Mr. Conway Twitty, a former Hendersonville resident) inside the facility for some good eats! Prices will vary and there may be age/weight restrictions for some activities.

2. Artsy Good Time
Sumner County has some great, creative spaces that we invite you to explore!
Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center, located in Hendersonville, has rotating exhibits highlighting artists and themes from all over the world. They are open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10am-5pm, and it is free to visit and view all the amazing art!

Worthington Galleries, located in the downtown Gallatin Square, houses an incredible collection of art by world reowned artists, a large variety of sculpture pieces, prehistoric and ethnographic art, and an amazing assembly of one-of-a-kind pieces that are sure to impress! Spend a couple hours and get lost in the material culture at Worthington Galleries…you can even dine at their on-site restaurant, Picasso’s Plate!

3. Get in the Spirits!
If your group is over the age of 21, check out these spots to taste some locally made adult beverages!
Long Hollow Winery‘s selection of wines has match for wine drinkers of all palates and you can try the wines in their large tasting space located off Long Hollow Pike in Goodlettsville. Cheese, jams, dips, and crackers can be purchased as a wonderful accompaniment to the tasting, or purchase a glass or bottle to share with friends! They also do great Songwriter Nights that makes for an amazing evening activity, too (tickets can be purchased in advance; see their Facebook page). Tasting may include nomial fee depending on how many wines you and/or your group chooses to taste.

Half Batch Brewing in Hendersonville opened a public tasting space in 2017 and it’s been a hit! Board games are on-hand for those who like a group challenge, and on selected evenings you can join Trivia Nights for a chance to show off your smarts (and win prizes)! For a nominal fee you can also tour the facility as the brews are made on-site.

4. Movie Day!
Why not take in a new movie to relax during vacation?
Regal Streets of Indian Lake Stadium 16 & IMAX in Hendersonville upgrades guests so they can settle into comfy recliners complete with a button to raise the foot rest and recline the back! They also allow you to reserve your movie seats online for prime picking! There are great shopping and dining establishments surrounding the theater, so it’s a wonderful place to pass the time when the weather doesn’t cooperate!

NCG Cinema Gallatin sells $6 matinee tickets everyday before 6pm, and on Tuesdays most movie tickets are $6 all day long (restrictions may apply). They also show selected movies in 3D and promote their affordable concession goodies…they offer free refills on soft drinks and popcorn!

5. Take a Class
Learn a new skill in Sumner County that you can take home with you!
Painting with a Twist – Hendersonville‘s calendar is full of opportunities to join a class where you can create a beautiful piece of art as a souvenir! And you can also bring your favorite adult beverages along to class to sip while you create a masterpiece! Check out their calendar of events to see what classes are coming up and you can book online to secure spots! Prices vary depending on class selected.

Standing Stone Farms offers Cheese Making Workshops either with advanced scheduling or you can join one of their selected dates to learn the art of cheese! You bring your own beer (or wine, or whatever adult beverage you want!) and are taught techniques such as how to make butter, mozzarella, mozzarella pinwheels, burrata and more! Remember, you can book a private group in advance or join one of their selected dates for cheese making! Prices vary according to class selected.
