1. Rent a Boat

Sweetwater Pontoon Rentals in Hendersonville offers water fans the chance to take a pontoon out on the lake with rates starting at $350 a day. 2. Take a Lake/River Cruise

Cumberland River Cruises in Gallatin offers a variety of cruise packages like the Sunset Tour, Nature Tour, and Full Moon Tour, just to name a few (tours require a minimum of 8 people). A Tour of the Stars Homes from Old Hickory Lake is one of their popular cruises, but custom cruises for sunsets, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and more can be arranged. 3. Rent a Canoe, John Boat, Kayak, or SUP

Shady Cove Resort in Castalians Springs is more than just rentals: they host RVs, have a bait shop, restaurant, tiki bar, and a pool! However, if you’re looking to be on the water, they offer canoe rentals for $25 a day. If you’d like to do a little fishing, they also offer john boat rentals for $85 a day or $55 for 4 hours. Hook1 in Hendersonville rents out kayaks (single and a few tandem) for $35 for 4 hours or $50 for 8 hours. You can launch right out onto Old Hickory Lake from behind the Hook1 store, as they load the kayaks right on to the shore for guests!
