2. Shop Local
Gallatin offers a tremendous offering a local shops, but a great way to kick off the unofficial start of summner is with the Gallatin Farmers Market! Fresh produce is in abundance in Sumner County and unique artisans also sell their products at the market.

3. Go Outside
Take in breathtaking Old Hickory Lake as you walk the trails of Bledsoe Creek State Park! The park has over 6 miles of scenic hiking trails that meander through both the forest and lakeshore. One trail is paved, making is accessible for those with disabilities.
Golfers can tee off in Portland on Memorial Day at Dogwood Hills Country Club's annual Memorial Day Scramble! The entry fee is $25, and prizes are given for a variety of categories. No need for a membership to play...this scramble is open to the public and is family-friendly!
The new Tommy Garrott Aquatics Facility will be having their grand opening celebration on Saturday at 9:30am! Enjoy Gallatin's first zero depth entry pool, splash pad, and 3 vortex slides!
4. Eat, Drink, and Be Merry
Awedaddy's is a great hangout for outdoor seating on the lake, great food, and great live entertainment. Brunch is served from 10am-1pm and includes favorites like the Powdered Beignets, Strawberry-Stuffed French Toast, and their Ultimate Breakfast Burger! Don't miss out on the Bloody Mary bar on Sunday!
In the mood for a new wine? Partake in a free fun wine tasting at Pour Vous! in Hendersonville, where they will be sampling a variety of wines from around the world! The tasting is on Saturday from 1pm-5pm.
The Rudder at Anchor High Marina will have live music all weekend long on their outdoor decks floating right on the water! They will also host a shrimp boil from 11am-2pm on Monday!
