Kimberley Locke Set to Return to Gallatin to Headline Eclipse Event

KIMBERLEY LOCKE will headline The Gallatin TN Eclipse Encounter on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Triple Creek Park. She'll hit the stage minutes before the partial phase of the eclipse begins in Gallatin.
Locke gained fame with her participation in the 2003 American Idol® television series where she was second runner up. Since then, Locke has released her EP, “Four For The Floor” via her own company, I AM Entertainment as well as a series of covers including Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”. Of the cover, Perez Hilton praised Locke for “turning the upbeat dance track into a beautiful ballad, and it’s giving us the serious chills.” Most recently, Locke has recently released a transformative cover of Ariana Grande’s smash single, “Dangerous Woman”, produced by Bond Villain.
A true entrepreneur, Kimberley Locke has founded I AM Entertainment, an entertainment company that focuses on Kimberley's rising health and wellness career, thriving musical career, and vocal coaching career. Through I Am Entertainment, Kimberley Locke acts as a consultant for aspiring artists, providing the help they need to navigate the music industry from a business perspective and creative perspective. In fact, Bond Villain (the producer of Locke’s “Dangerous Woman” cover) is signed to a production deal under I Am Entertainment.
Immediately following “American Idol,” Locke was signed to Curb Records where she enjoyed a very successful career as a recording artist, having had eight Top 20 Adult Contemporary hits and four #1 Dance hits across various Billboard charts. She has also made history as being the only recording artist to score a #1 Christmas song on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart three years in a row. Her #1 remake of the Freda Payne classic "Band of Gold,” was included on Billboard's "Top 50 Dance Songs of the Decade" list.
In 2010 she released her dance single “Strobelight,” a collaboration with “Idol” judge and producer Randy Jackson’s Dream Merchant 21 label and INgrooves. “Strobelight” hit Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Chart several times upon its release.
Locke didn’t stop with just her music career from the years since “Idol.” She has been a staple in the entertainment industry having signed a modeling contract with Ford Models wherein she landed a two-year deal with clothing retailer Lane Bryant and became the face of their national Seven7 Jeans Designer Collection campaign. She went on to appear in VH1’S “Celebrity Fit Club” where she lost 40 lbs. and became a national spokesperson for Jenny Craig. She maintains a healthy and fit lifestyle and inspires women across the country with their weight loss and sense of empowerment.
Kicking her business aspirations into high gear, she founded her own entertainment company in early 2011 called I AM Entertainment. This new endeavour allows her to not only take full control over her own career but to aid other artists in the development of their brands and products.
In addition to various tour dates and performances, Locke has branched out as a television personality oftentimes hosting Red Carpet events for “E!,” “American Idol®,” “Extra,” and “The Insider.” She has also hosted GSN’s “Word Slam,” MTV’s “Little Talent Show”, GMC’s “Gospel Dream” and co-hosted several episodes of ABC’s “The View.
Nashville area native Locke was born in Hartsville, Tennessee, and graduated from Gallatin High School in Sumner County, Tennessee. She received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Management from Belmont University in Nashville.
